Barnsley football is supposed to be a community club with a long history which the fans are rightly proud of. We are not a faceless organisation with no meaning. With this in mind I would like to remind you that the nice shiny stand behind the goals is called the ******* ponty end not the south stand regardless of what official title somebody has given it. Please instruct all your employees to stop referring to this stand as the south stand. It makes you look like you care not one bit about out club and know nothing about it. We might as well have left it as cobco 515 Ltd if we were going to try and blank out the history.
It was the same when we printed up all the season ticket passes and things and then renamed the stands
My post wasn't a dig at Ben. I'm sure he hasn't instructed his employees to refer to it as the south stand. It was more a message to Ben to sort it.
Football is so much about finance these days and the club have always been a few steps behind in terms of that, Ben seems like he is trying to address that though. Some of the decisions have been ill thought out though, such as the badge redesign and getting rid of Matt Bailey and friends.
Where is the money going to come from if he's not allowed to increase pay on the day tickets or increase sponsorship? There's a new scoreboard to pay for that for some reason people are obsessing over as well. Don't forget that apparently we need to sign 7/8 players and win promotion this season. I'd like to see the majority on here attempt to run the club. It'd be down the pan in months.
Put me down on the 'don't care' list. I barely notice them when we go to grounds that have them so really not fussed.

I was once told stewards/staff etc are told to refer to the N E S W stands for safety reasons in case there's a major security incident. It's to make it easier for staff to liaise with the emergency services. Not just at Oakwell but sporting venues in general?!?

But if theyd been in the CK Bevkett & Pukka Pie stand they'd still not have a clue what the others are?!? Yes I know there'snames on them but some stands aren't sponsored at some venues and the Ponty End/Brewery etc have had a few names over the years.
