Milan Lalkovic top scored in them. Am I alone in thinking we ought to be retaining him? George Smith quickest over 10m Marc Roberts over 20m. Interesting stuff.
No. There's no way I'd be looking to sell Bailey and Lalkovic. We'll probably replace them with a 12 year old who once played basketball.
Amount of pull ups, press ups and dips in a set time. Hourihane top scored at pull ups and apparently he's come back a lot stronger, upper body muscle etc. A yo-yo test (no idea), arrowhead test (running short distances, with quick turns/points) which Smith smashed to pieces apparently, and a couple of others I can't remember. Squats I think was one of em. Scowen and Winnall (my favourite two players) were nowhere to be seen in the top ten. Hmmmm. Stats. Mmmmm. Science.
How did he do in the "staying on his own two feet for more than 10 seconds", test? I like his work ethic, but I'd be more keen to keep Bailey than Lalkovic. Wouldn't grumble if we kept both though.
With the current numbers in our squad I'd probably keep both Bailey and Lalkovic. That first cameo sub appearance Lalkovic had he looked like a world beater but then showed pretty much nothing the rest of the season but maybe a full pre-season might help him.
Not seen him myself but a work mate saw Judd Smith on Friday last week and said it was like looking at Welterweight boxer really toned up like a wedge in at the waste mussels in his spit not a gram of fat on him
Couple of questions.. Did anyone pass the "being able control, pass and shoot with both feet" test? And have they retired the 50 metre pie test in honour of mk dons latest signing?
Where's this info from? And I agree Lalkovic should absolutely given a chance. He wasn't great last year but he has potential and his attitude and enthusiasm was a breath of fresh air. I can't think if any reason why LJ wouldn't want to work with him. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
Work ethic in training, consistency, final delivery/end product, bad attitude, all good reasons and reasons you wouldn't know about without being Lee Johnson or BFC staff
I don't know, same as thar don't know, their could be a number of legitimate reasons, of which I gave a couple of examples, they're might be none,
Lalkovic is one of the most hard working players in training. He hasn't got an attitude problem at all, always joking wih team mates.
That might be seen as a attitude problem by Johnson. They're there to work not act daft. as I say unless you're Lee Johnson you'll not know. He'll have is reasons and as the boss of the club you've got to respect that even without knowing the exact reason. For what it's worth I think the same as you lot, but Johnson knows a lot more about him then we do or at least he should
I'd keep Lalkovic but our 'Head Coach' doesn't like experienced players. He seems to want to go with inexperience which will hopefully not prove to be his downfall because if we aren't in the top 10 at christmas his position could be hanging by a thread.
He might have the stamina of a Tour de France cyclist but when every third touch looks as if he's playing in clogs it's not much use.
I've been watching all morning and LJ and Wright are dafter than any of them. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
He didn't cover himself in glory last season, he often reminded me of a dog chasing a balloon as he just didn't seem able to control of the ball. However, he always put a shift in, he always worked hard, he's got a bit of pace about him and occasionally we'd get that glimpse of skill. With only 13 starts for us and still only 22, I think he deserves another chance. At the age of 22, only two years ago, Marley Watkins, our hyped up signing from Inverness, was playing for Hereford in the conference after signing for free from Bath City who had picked him up nowt after League 2 Cheltenham had released because he couldn't get in their team.
