    Finch 33 and out
    Maxwell 1 and out

I said it the other day - short changing us BIG TIME. Not justifying their selection at all.

McCullum hit 158 fro Birmingham. That's how you do it.

Sickening watching us get beaten by Lancashire again. I was at Headingley for the reverse fixture and we threw that one away. This has just been a poor display. Hard to fathom how they can be so good at the four day game, and so poor at the T20 game.

Can't blame the imports. Poor poor captaincy deciding to field on this wicket. 4 players on international duty. Fact is we have no real 'yorkshire' T20 players other than Bairstow. We have great 4 day players but no strength in T20 or 1 day

I'm not blaming them as such, just commenting on the fact that they are massively under perfoming. Finch was brilliant in patches last season, but nowhere near his reputation suggested. Same again this year, although he hasn't played much. Maxwell has looked fantastic, again in patches, but he is seriously lacking consistency.

There's no point in signing these big names if they can't deliver. Right now, they're not delivering anything much, in this competition anyway.

Gale shouldn't be playing, let alone captain. We had our best season when Rafiq was captain.

And my point is if we don't get the best in ( always a gamble) we won't even be competetive. we simply don't have this modern player available. The good ones Root, Adil, Lyth, Ballance even lose Plunkett are called up. We don't have a competetive T20 Day 1 squad

The competitive spirit in this game disappeared right at the start of our innings. Good as he is, I don't really see Gale as an opener. He is more of an anchor and that's no good in this game.

True, question though is ,,,,, as soon as we lose Adil Rashid who the heck do we have as a 1 day / T 20 spinner?

At least Maxi and Finchy got wickets

There's only Maxwell isn't there, and he got slaughtered in his first over and taken off.

Nice to see young Fisher have a decent go tonight with the ball because he took some punishment at Headingley against Lancs.

Exactly. Part time spinner and a 17 year old who actually will be a great player. Middlebrook is t the saviour.

Can't see either here next season on the money they must be on. Finch was average last year and even worse this. Aaron Lilley with his Delph & Dobcross Drakes premiership background has shown us up in the field. Hard batting pitch and bright sunshine and Gale wants a bowl. Up there with Nasser in the first Ashes test in Australia. Gale had a few lifelines before he eventually went. I'd rather based on availability next summer we get in someone like McCullum, Raina, Gayle etc. We always want to go down the Australian route, but apart from Lehmann and Jacques it doesn't work. Williamson is back soon but we will be out of the competition by then.

Will we all settle for winning for the county championship again (if we do win it of course), over the t-20 or other one day tournament ? im disappointed to see us totally blow the t-20 again from what was a good start after 2 straight wins. but lets forget about it again this year.

Then the captain decides to open the batting instead of letting them have the powerplay. I can see why Sidebottom doesn't play 20/20 as in cricket terms he's an old man and his body needs protecting. But it's crazy we'd penalise ourselves through choice by never playing our best bowler Jack Brooks in it.

Yes, i think its is quite obvious now, all our decisions are focussed on winning the county championship, again. After all this is the premium trophy domestically, however T20 does now carry some good bragging rights.

It's a shame that we spoke up how important a good season in it was, only to fail. Apart from leaving Brooks out, bowling first and not opening with our two big hitting overseas guys in a powerplay we needed to get off to a massive start in, Gale and Gilespie did nothing wrong last night....Lees will be back in for the county championship tomorrow too.
