Knew you would be looking forrard to it Lil as always. Just to say my feelings have nowt whatsoever to do with our transfer dealings or lack of them so far. That bloke still there charging a parnd for that car park at Thornwick Bay?
No, I'm not missing football one bit. I'm even glad that there is no tournament this year just so I can enjoy a couple of months without football pi55ing me off.
No, my old friend, he wasn't. Thornwick Bay has been extremely quiet, with hardly anyone there. It's been warm, pleasant and we've seen more wild animals (hares, weasels, rabbits, owls, bats and deer) outside our chalet than people.
I can't wait. I love ending a working week by going back 'home', meeting up with mates, having a giggle and a drink and then watching my beloved football club. I hate the weeks without that. I think we've some very good players at the club and I am keen to see the new lads too. Bring it on. Starting next weekend by bidding farewell to Sir Bobby.
You`d have thought he would have made a killing wit weather being like it has. He`s a bit on and off with sitting in his hut though. I aint been this year, but will fit it in before Oct.
The hut was all locked up. But there wasn't much money to be made, as it's been so quiet. Really enjoyed the bacon butties from the cafe on the cliff top, whilst my blubber was bathed by the sunshine. I can't emphasise just how quiet it's been, mate. A perfect holiday for this Victor Meldrew.
No pal - because the managerial cycle that those who make those decisions have generated has done my nut in. I do not believe the rhetoric - if Johnson has us lower mid table this season he'll be sacked IMHO - same reasons given as when they binned Wilson. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You're absolutely correct. 14th at the end of the January window, and he's gone. "It was a tough decision," said chief executive Ben Mansford. "But crowds are down significantly, and we're four points from the play-offs with a game in hand." Barnsley are believed to be looking at Oldham Athletic manager xxxxxx xxxxxxxxx as Johnson's replacement.
This time last season our only signing that played the first friendly was Hourihane. imo it isn't weaker. its seriously lacking in depth but in general its a better team.
Lost interest after last season. Better things to occupy my time and money on until the entertainment value improves.
theres nothing to bring any excitement on,we are where we are every pre season, starting practically from scratch,us and a few others i might add..its not so much BFC i've fallen out with but football in general.the constant transfer merry go round that stops anyone have even half a chance of building for the future, over paid pre maddonna's trying to get one another booked, diving, rollin around on the floor etc etc.i'm fuc kin sick of it all. four years ago we started watching rugby league,it was the best decision we ever made..tomorrow we are at hull to watch cas tigers,my only regret is not doing it years ago.
I meant the squad Johnson inherited and went with at the end of last season to the one we have presently. Gone - Cranie, Waring, Pearson, Berry, m'voto, Ramage, Oates, Lita Going - Holgate, Turnbull, Laikovic, Bailey, Recruited Roberts - never played league football, Watkins - previously and abject failure in England and 1 quality signing in Mawson Some of the outgoings won't be missed. Possibly we will recruit 2 better players than Holgate and Cranie in defence. As it stands it. Seems difficult to argue that we are stronger.
Not missed it either as there are plenty of things to do. Trips away, England with the cricket, UK grass court season finishing with Wimbledon. This saturday PDC World Matchplay starts for eight days and the Lords test. Much more relaxed than worrying about our performances. If we bring in double figures worth of players including some inspired looking signings and some much needed experience then maybe so. That said Chesterfield tickets will probably be on sale next week and I can't see them lasting long.
