I certainly would. And it's not impossible because the I-League season doesn't start until the new year and he said in his chronicle interview that he would either go to an Indian Super League club over the winter or an English club. Would give us good cover and give us more chance to take time over recruitment in central midfield
I know Mr Whitey wasn't being entirely serious but I thought he left a couple of years too late anyway.
100% yes. No sentiment involved. He's a steady player, brilliant experience, loves the club and town. Great role model.
When a players contract is either ending, or at an end, they're entitled to talk to other clubs. You know, without the club's permission? And he did so, and turned down more lucrative offers at rival clubs because he wanted to stay at Barnsley. I know, I know, it's bloody hard to believe isn't it? But it happened. Congrats though on posting a football related post.
He thought you were talking about bobby potentially signing for a rival church. He has asked me to apologise on his behalf if his post appeared to be linked to anything football related
Yes! Then at least we have signed somebody! Seriously though, despite him being a great servant to the club, Bobby's seen better days, spent his last few years constantly on the treatment table. One thing is for sure though, we need to act quicker transfer wise, as the season draws ever closer. Hopefully we see a few additions this week.
