We were weak in the fullback areas last year too with our best option at RB being Cranie whilst an unknown Smith was the only option at LB. Our bench is looking just as poor as last season but again LJ has almost 2 weeks before we reach the same point. As things stand though questions have to be asked on whether LJ has jumped the gun in disposing of Berry, Lalkovic and Bailey. With those 3 added to the bench I think we'd be looking really strong with still plenty of time to recruit. I'm presuming he's got players lined up who are better than all those 3. Plus the 6-7 we still need on top of that.
I think at least one of Bailey and Lalkovic will stay, either by choice or because nobody will have them. Lalk has come back and been number 1 in the fitness tests. He's clearly got a good attitude and he's got a bit of skill too. If we're struggling to get wingers in then I'd keep him on.
In my opinion Lalkovic is worth until christmas at least. He's been training with Heckingbottom all pre-season though so I'm not not sure LJ is up for giving him another go.
