Was it just me or did Foster sound pretty emotional when he spoke at half time?

I thought that at one point he sounded like he was about to cry

I thought the same. Nice to see players that really do care about the club.

Therein lies the problem with loan players in my opinion. I can name all the promotion squad from 97 because it was so small and full of regulars. The promotion squad to the championship was similar, proper players who gave a ****. Now we get a squad full of loanees who will be gone in a few months. That's not the players fault but it means there isn't that connection to the club and it is something that I think is important, not just for on the field results but also for the fans. Having a connection to the players is a big deal

Most of our loan players last season gave a ****.

Agree about Fozzy, sounded very emotional.

To be fair to some of our loans last season they had more passion than some of our contracted players. I agree about Fozzy though.

I thought so too and good for him. An absolutely top defender for us. Totally loyal and committed. A terrific footballer, role model and man. He loves the club of that there is no doubt.

I meant more that they don't really care about the club or fans. Most/some of them work their ******** off but they don't stay long enough to actually get to know anyone or care about the place or fans

I honestly don't think so. Just a bit nervous and got his words muddled ever so slightly.

Decent player for us, model professional and judging on what went on after he left us we got rid at exactly the right time.
