Prospect of him bombing down the left and scoring, in tandem with SSW, does sound appealing but I fear for the "Chris Lumsdon factor" if we were to go in and sign him. Looked good on loan, rubbish once signed.

Not a bad signing if it happened but there are probably better ones for us.

I think he's a good player & would be a good signing but I think a lot on here will he's bad news after leaving us for MK Dons

Exactly what we need someone with pace and dynamism. I don't mind if it's him or anyone with similar attitudes. Taking everything into consideration he did well on loan with us.

Didn't want to sign back on loan with us, scored a couple on debut for MK Dons and did little after that. Wouldn't be the last guy to play for us to realise grass isn't always greener elsewhere. Worth a punt as a freebie though to give him a chance to prove doubters wrong.

Thought he did well at times but I think he'd be suited on the wing, doesn't have the strength to hold up where as if he's running along side a player he'll leave them for dead

Doesn't suprise ME when we didn't play like we should be, making hold it up again't a defender wasn't working but we did it anyway

I think he'd be an excellent signing. Offers something we don't have in abundance right now: pace

I reckon he'd be a decent signing to play as a winger.

If we are playing 451 which it seems we might be he's be a great signing to play down the wing

The Chris Lumsdon argument (Brian McCord was another of that ilk) can be used for not signing any player previously on loan. Whose to say O'Sullivan & Williams (for example) wouldn't be like that if they were to be signed permanently? Yet it doesn't seem to be used against those lads.
I'd be surprised if we signed Cole on a permanent contract, but wouldn't be against it.

Is he definitely a free agent? Seen a couple of articles alluding to him signing a one year extension.

    Would definitely have him back

I wouldn't, can't see him making the jump the Championship with how weak he was/is. L1 we know how good he is and how easy he loses defenders. If the offer is there we should take it. signing for free would be great for us. can play anywhere across the front three. Win win in my eyes.

As I said, I wouldn't be against him returning. Just surprised, pleasant though it'd be.

I'd take him. He's got the one commodity we currently lack. Blistering pace.

Its interesting that not one of the posters who don't want him to sign have actually offered a reason.................

feel free to share your thoughts but just saying "i hope not" or " no thanks" doesn't really add much weight to your argument!
