Having read lots of positive reviews about Alfie I was looking fwd to seeing whether he lived up the hype. He did. It was a lower league side and it was a friendly but that lad oozes class. Hard an fair in the tackle, dominant in the air and the vision to see a pass, whether 10, 20 or 30 yards. We have got a player with this guy. Credit to LJ for his obsessive pursuit of Alf . I think we've found a beck enabler type here. I'm pretty **** at most things but I think I can spot a footballer without all the help from modern day science. I love to see players getting stuck in. Getting stuck in hard and fair and nit sh1tting out. There was one 50 /50 challenge he made yesterday which was v impressive. He went in hard. He put his body into it. He won the ball. A propr cruncher. No fear. So looking fwd to watching him grow with us.
looking forward to see how he gets on. i seem to remember people saying the same about dangerous brian though, so i'll give it a few months
He looked very composed and read the game tremendously. With the back 5 (including Davies) we've got a solid enough foundation. Hopefully, Bree and Smith will get at least 30+ starts this season as they both have bright futures.
