    Seen him several times play against us over the years and never been worried about him. Indeed he's a name that if I see on the opposition team sheet I feel quite unthreatened - which with our defences has been rare.

    Would smack somewhat of desperation, failure with all the main targets and so revert to journeyman from previous club.

    He's very much in the Vaz Te mould of forwards, as in, he operates more out wide rather than central. Spent most of his career out wide. Managed 15 goals (however they came, in however games/weeks/months) last season. Experienced. Knows the division. I though select folk on here would be happy with this kind of transfer.

    If these folk want an experienced, 20 goal striker, good luck with that.



    Anyway, the lad laiked for Oldham tonight. Might well be ********.

    Forte can play wide or through the middle. We are crying out for squad numbers, experience, pace and power so why wouldn't we be interested? I'm sure if LJ worked with him, he will know exactly what he can add.

    I totally respect everyone's right to an opinion but It amazes me that potential signings are ripped to shreds before they even arrive.

    I've followed Forte's career quite closely having seen him at as a young player when he was head and shoulders above everyone else. Unfortunately for him the other kids caught up and he never really developed his game. Managers have often seen something in him that they believed they could bring out. By and large they have failed. If we are looking for someone to flesh out the squad and add an occasional sporadic contribution then he would be our man.

    Nothing against him and if he signs like all our players will have my support. Is he an inspirational or important signing who will add a lot of value I'd say that seems unlikely.

    Not now no it's too late again, scrambling around at the last minute, signing people no one else wants because we've wasted time penny pinching, the time to sign players was 6 weeks ago, we need 6/7 or even 8 players still and we're not going to get them

    I'd rather wait and get the right player not the first available. Just my opinion, if the right player is available in May or if it's August such is life, we do need 4 or 5 new ones in however that's a given.

    Yes but these jokers we're linked with now can't have been our first choices, so we may as well just got him six weeks ago and got him settled in with the friendlys we're making exactly the same mistakes as last season,

    You make your inquiries, you put your offer forward, you give it a week phone up and see what's happening, give it a couple of days and move on, and just repeat the process until you get a team, any team is better then no team. The way we're going about signing players every summer is piss poor, and it's costing us any chance we have of having a good season. Hanging about waiting for players to decide is no good it's not working for us they Fu'ck off else where, we need another approach.
