Why? I could name you a lot of championship defenders that arnt anywhere near as good as Cranie. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Huddersfield best priced 4/1 for the drop (some firms go as short as 3/1). They'll realise what they've done when it's too late! So Whitey - them down, us up, then Jake to come back "home"?
That definitely makes him a bad player then. All those games for England age groups and in the championship.
It had nothing to do with the 2/3 years we spent rotting away with lower league/Rochdale ***** while other clubs we're spending millions? In your opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I must admit, I've often heard people saying that he's been relegated with loads of teams, but I've just checked and, unless I'm missing something, he only went down with Coventry and us. Still don't think he was that good. Gave us a lot more average performances than good ones, so if he was earning considerably more than the rest of the team, as has been suggested, I think we're better off without him. I wish him all the best at Huddersfield though.
His record suggests he will be fighting around the relegation zone. He's a fantastic League 1 defender and should really be playing at that level
Smithies, Cranie, Hudson, Lynch, Davidson, Smith, Hogg, Whitehead, Dempsey, Butterfield, Scannell, Bunn, Lolley, Hammill, Miller, Hiwula, Vaughan, Wells. Far too much quality in their squad for relegation. They finished 16th and 15 points clear of the relegation zone last time around. They've strengthened in my opinion this summer, and have a very good manager in charge. I don't see them pushing the top half or owt, but don't see much value in tipping em for the drop. I'd look towards our other local rivals for that. One of Wednesday, Leeds and Rotherham will go down. As for Jacob, he'll never come back to Barnsley. If he leaves Town it'll be for bigger and better things. He's got a good 5 years left in his pomp, can't see us doing enough in that time to attract a player like that. And, I wouldn't want him back here either. Too much for me to contend with thanks. Was oreight last time, nobody knew I was involved... You'll get chance to cheer him (boo him) in a couple of weeks though. And Cranie. Possibly Hammill.
Very happy to cheer him, Whitey. He did alreight for us. I totally agree with you about Chris Powell - good bloke. And Nakhi Wells is a bit tasty too. As for t'Wendies, I think they will probably be a top bet on the handicap. There is money there, and they may well use it. I don't know about Mr Carvalhalhalhal, but I can't imagine he knows nowt. I could well see them being under-rated by the bookies, given the potential financial clout they'll wield. Not saying I want it to happen, or that I like them, but a bet's a bet!
