They're also bringing a lot of quality players in. If they start producing some results on the field, the fans will pay this I assure you (I know a lot of Wednesday fans). If all of a sudden, PC gave our manager an open purse, and he started bringing in a whole host of young, exciting talent, and promising a push for the Premiership, I think a lot of people would be more than willing to part with their cash for the club they love, just to have something to get excited about for once.
The lady boys are trying to get some of their cash back they have put in. Then they are hoping when they get to the premiership bang prices up and fill swillsborough every week then they get the money back and rest their not there because their life long wendys. As much as id love for someone to throw a load of cash at us i wouldnt like the price hikes and id rather see us bringing home grown talent through like butterfield, stones, holgate, bree ect ect
Fekkin wendies.....dont forget it is their god given right to be multiple champions league winners. They are the biggest club in the universe remember. I hate Wendy. Hth
As much as I dislike Wednesday they are a big club with potential for very big crowds. As others have said fans will pay through the nose if they get a sniff of the premier league.
my friend and colleague is a Wednesday fan. He has home and away season tickets, writes for the programme and had written several books about them. He thinks the pricing policy has been misjudged on a massive dde09 scale. He says that they have sold 14k St compared with 16k last year and that they will be lucky to get 18k average this season. The club is already wheeling out offers already.
If they win their first four or five games, there will be 25,000 + at Hillsborough, price irrelevant.
