Trained with the first team this morning.

George Williams still training with the reserves.

Would be nice to see Mason in the squad tomorrow night.

Agreed. Let's hope we can persuade him that it would be a good idea to sign a new contract and continue to develop with us.

Great news. The kids got talent. Sack his parasite of an agent. Sign a 2 year deal on better money. Knuckle down and have a blinding season.

He'll either play in champ with us next year or we can sell him to a champ/prem team for more than £1m if he has a great season.

He didn't want to be alienated from the squad or the team. LJ rates him.

Ben and Lee should sit down with him and explain that his agent is only looking after his own interests not Masons.

Came down to Oakwell for U18s friendly and saw Holgate walking back to dressing rooms with Smith and Bree

This with bells on. I hope people are not going to give Mason a hard time just because he is young and has been given some bad advice. Of course he is going to listen to his agent but he's tried that now and it's not worked out for him for whatever reason, so let's support him here.

Has the agent publicly said anything or is it just rumours?

For all we know it could be Holgate who's asked the agent to act on his behalf

Exactly his agent is taking the flack because fans automatically want to stick up for one of their own. I've seen nothing of his agent pushing him out of Oakwell and believe that Mason has a mind of his own even he did (like Roberts signing for us against his agents wishes).

I can see your point of view but for me lets get some decent coin for him. We could welcome him back but is his Heart still in the club?

In 3 weeks time another Premier League club may come knocking and were back to square one again.

If Holgate came on the Club Website pledging his allegiance for this entire season to the club then maybe I would feel different.

With all the speculation over the last few weeks I just feel his head and heart are wanting away.

Of course I may be wrong.

I think training with Man United will have done him the world of good. Hope we can tie him up to a longer contract now and we'll be laughing again.

    100% agree

I am just wondering if some one some where has sat him down and had a serious talk with him... maybe pointed out just how good it is for development at BFC.... maybe its why we get a look at on loan/development of "Starlets" from a few of the Prem sides... just a thought
