Would be funny if half of Bobby's testimonial team pitched up there. Would be a Barnsley 2 side and well worth watching.

Always liked Austin, at 32 he might be struggling to get a league contract but he should be capable of playing at a higher level than aqua force

    Good luck to him anyway

He looked good the other week against Mansfield. Great ball in to Nads at back post.

    I think he'll get a 5th tier contract.

One of my all time favourites was gutted when he got released.

The way he used to eloquently assault rival players was a thing of beauty.

Made to look a lot worse than it was due to Coppinger's amateur dramatics. It was a shove for which the little **** deserved at least for his part in that incident and the other antics he used that game. I suspect Austin wished he had really flattened him after that.

I've never seen a player get as up for a local derby as Austin did for us.

It was great to watch. He was like a man possessed against the Wendies.

Agree you could pick him out as Barnsley lad a mile off when playing against them lot.

Have we had a harder more passionate player in the last 10 years?

He'd probably get sent off within 20 seconds of a local derby these days.

Had a decent game yesterday for Aquaforce, starting at right back then switching to left back due to an injury. Aquaforce beat Bradford Park Avenue, who are two leagues above them in the pyramid, 1-0. Signs look good that Aquaforce can easily hold their own at Evostik South level and could even be challenging at the top this season.

I go and support Stocksbridge Park Steels when Barnsley are away who are in the same league as Shaw Lane now but would love to see SL get nigh up the pyramid. They've got real ambition. To think the senior team was only formed in 2012 it's a remarkable rise

I thought they were the ones with the Wednesday connections, thanks for confirming it :D

No, he's on holiday. They're making a decision on him when he gets back...

The owner, Craig Wood, supports Wednesday. Think that's the only connection. They do play in blue and white stripes too. Clearly that's probably enough for some people to hate them...
