Shhhhh! Don't talk about drugs in football. Interesting Gary Neville comment, not that it did them any good. http://www.4dfoot.com/2013/02/09/doping-in-football-fifty-years-of-evidence/
Until all sports take the same stance as cycling with routine and regular testing then this will continue to happen, it's just that cycling actively promote their stance and publicise the results naming and shaming....lots of folk thus jump on cycling as a sport claiming it to be overloaded with drugs cheats, sure there are such guys but they will be found and banned, not so in a lot of other sports who merely ignore the issues.....just as I am typing this there is a feature on Sky sports re drugs and doping being rife in atheletics.........well....how about that...........
It's rife. The top Italian teams in the 90's were all at it. It's rumoured half the Spanish league had connections to Fuentes of Operacion Puerto fame at one point a few years back including Real & Barca. As much as I love watching them both play I find it very suspicious how Ronaldo & Bale have transformed their body shapes & how Barca play with such intensity whilst barely getting any muscle injuries
