Great strike from Williams on Barnsley Player.

Looks like he played at left back.

Thought he played well as did Phenix. templeton had a great first half until notts adjusted their play to stop his runs.

Wow, that is a great finish. Ping pong defending though but once he got the ball he just hit it first time. Interesting to see him wearing the number three shirt. Competition of George Smith maybe? Can he kick with his left foot though?

Cant see him being competition for Smith to be fair when he isn't even competition for Bree.

Point might have been that Holgate, for now, and bree are right backs.

Smith and Williams left backs. For now.

To be fair we may as well write him and Phenix off. They must have played 2 or 3 games for the famous Barnsley oracles to be writing them off!! Some great talent spotters on this board. Surprised professional clubs don't take you up on your untapped ability to judge a player from 10 minutes of footage. Scouts like that are like gold dust I imagine.

Well said but too subtle for many of the negative dummies who write such uninformed bile on these pages

    What are you talking about?

When did I write Williams off?

It's fact that Johnson hasn't used him as competition for Bree not my opinion.

The lad hasn't trained with the first team all pre season so what I'm saying is its unlikely he's going to be used as a left back in the first team when LJ doesn't even fancy him in his own posistion as a right back.

LJ has hinted Callum Evans will be competition for Smith but he's currently injured.

How is it uninformed to say Williams isn't competition for Smith or Bree when he blatantly isn't at this time.

I've been to both friendlies and watched training throughout preseason and the lad can't get near the first team. Johnsons decision not my opinion on his ability.
