Bit of an odd one. Either thought he was better than he actually is, and felt he could get a better deal elsewhere, or Fleetwood released him thinking they could get someone else, and subsequently failed. Either way, I'm glad we didn't sign him, as it felt a bit 'cast-offish'.
Would have been a good signing for us but we seem to be aiming for bigger and better players. Would much rather have the likes of Paddy Madden playing up front and also think McLeod and Henderson would be better signings.
The manager didn't want to release him Fleetwood have brought in a new transfer policy (similar to ours) and the board said he had to go. I haven't seen Fleetwoods signings this summer but as we know it isn't easy to bring in young talent with resale value and still remain competitive. Especially not for Fleetwood with a smaller budget than ours. Maybe the manager asked for a little more flexibility and the board have agreed to having Ball back. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
