Or do you ? It's taken a age to get half a squad, we need minimum 2 strikers, 2 Wingers, and couple experienced full backs, and they need to be good ones because if we don't get the quality we need we don't have enough loan positions in squad to replace damp squibs with loans, yet certain members on here, have had a meh Fu'ck it attitude all summer, how do you do it, the club is a shambles, and you don't give a Fu'ck all you bother about is condemning the posters who voice their concerns, it's as thought you know something the rest don't. how do you do it
They don't not give a fu'ck. They trust that the club has everything in hand and is working hard behind the scenes to bring players in. They understand that constantly moaning is going to have no effect whatsoever on our recruitment policy.
Maybe LJ thinks the full backs we have are more than capable. It sounds like the preferred formation is a diamond or 352 so not much point in buying wingers who aren't going to play, I agree we need more options up front tho
What about November when new manager wants to play with wingers, ? . Transfer committee needs to be planning for all eventualities due to the amount of loans we already have.
Thats your opinion about 2 wingers n full backs we just need 2 strikers imo. We have a far better squad than this time last year n id rathef have quality not quantity.
3 transfer windows. That was said when LJ joined. I just hope he gets 3 transfer windows. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What are you talking about mate? LJ has recruited 8 new players all of which look better than what we had last season. We have bids in for 2 strikers. LJ could have had Jackson and Ball signed up by now but whats the point of signing players for the sake of it just to get the numbers up. The way you go on its like you'd take anyone just to say right we have 2 strikers now. Managers like Keith Hill aren't going to sell there best players without having another one lined up. These things take time. We're not going 4-4-2 this season its looking like 3-5-2 or diamond. You know this so why are you still going on about wingers? I agree that we may need to bring in specialist wing backs if we are to play with a 3-5-2 but for now Smith and Bree/Holgate are worth a go. We have the players to make up a squad of 18 good enough to go beat Chesterfield on Saturday. We still have time to add players where needed throughout August.
Why moan now when the season hasnt even started yet? See where we are at end of September then give your opinion.
It's not about anyone not caring its simply that we all have different realistic (in our mind) ambitions for bfc and we go about trying to achieve those ambitions in different ways. I complain about everything because I think we can be better at most things and my ambitions are for us to be one of the most organised and progressive clubs in the country. A lot of people see that as unrealistic due to the size of the town etc and so they're not as critical as they believe we are doing the best we can. Others may agree but don't complain as they see an improvement anyway. Three sets of people all wanting the best for the club but all with different styles. Neither is better than the other and none are in the 'don't care category'
Honestly don't understand the purpose of this thread. I personally think we are putting together a very talented young hungry squad that could challenge this year. The fact we have supposedly beaten 10 clubs to the signing of crowley and players like mawson/Pearson/williams chose to join us over champ teams suggests the club and management structure is anything but a shambles. I thought it was common knowledge by now that LJ wants 2 strikers in by weekend which IMO if we get the type of quality signed thus far I would be very happy with what we have. But, never mind we should just sign the first 2 strikers, 2 Wingers and 2 experienced full backs that come available so at least you'll be happy. Then by September you can have a moan again when they're not good enough.
That's your opinion. We need to be organised and ready for all eventualities, if you're having a transfer committee and bringing coaches in to utilise the squad said committee as built, you have to assemble a squad that can be used by all styles of coach, otherwise what's the point. Having a coach and transfer committee is surely aimed at making the transition between managers as easy as possible, how can you do that if you don't build a squad for all styles & formations .
What a stupid post. So you don't want the manager to have the final say on signings? Or do you want us to waste funds on players that might not play all season? I'm glad you're not in charge.
People need to stop banging on about wingers, we have Watkins and Williams who can play there, but we aren't going to play them anyway, and if things aren't working we'll change to a 4-4-2 diamond. We know this.
What about the eventuality that LJ remains in charge throughout his contract and we have 2 wingers surplus to requirements sat on 3k a week each for 2 years. Wasting the club £624,000 until there contracts run out. That would be great organisation.
