I wonder what the future manager will think when we go for Henderson over Mcleod? Or maybe he's still venting that we didn't sign David Ball? Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
He thinks we've got enough strikers. Reckons we need four more wingers though. I hope the club are concentrating on this rather than trying to bring in players LJ wants.
Nicky Maynard has been at the club at some point today, LJ is just weighing up whether he wants him or someone else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thats a blast from the past. Highly prolific goal scorer but quite injury prone in latter part of his career. Suspect a championship club would take him on.
Would be the worst choice of strikers mentioned. Nicky Ajose from Leeds wouldn't be so bad. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
If maynard is fit and interested id take him MAYNARD Years Team Apps† (Gls)† 2005–2008 Crewe Alexandra 59 (32) 2006 → Witton Albion (loan) ? I thought Maynard had signed for someone else? I was well up for us signing him until a Wales-based forumer said he (Maynard, not the forumer) is made of peanut brittle.
Johnson played with him at Bristol City so there's an obvious link there. Blighted by injuries but a top drawer championship striker when fit and firing - look any signing of this nature it is a risk.
Wanted by Blackburn and Forest. So definitely not good ebough for us. We should go for Messi. He's having a few tax issues in Spain and must be looking for a move away. Oh aye, he's too small, never make it in League 1.
Reckon we'd be better off with Jackson than Maynard. Probably cost a lot less in wages, has a good scoring record in his own right, and isn't made of biscuit. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Jackson and Mcleod or Henderson would he a big boost to the squad. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
Definitely. Look at his record over the three years since he was scoring for fun for Brizzle. Around a 1 in 8 striker nowadays and blighted by injuries. Will still command a good wage because of his previous history. I'd take Jackson over pretty much all names we are being linked to.
He has a 1 in 8 record because of injury. If he was fit and firing he's score for fun at this level, that's not the issue. Depends whether LJ reckons he can keep him fit.
