I'm actually tempted to pay 600 quid for one. But it would be plain obvious what it says, spells my nickname out perfectly

each to their own I suppose but just seems like a total waste of money to me, I know somebody who bought one and got pulled by the police about 3 months later and told to stop pissing about with the spacing, they've still got it but it looks like a normal number plate now.

    Re: Ayup big fella

To be honest there's a clue in personalised. Meaning personal to the owner.

so not everyone is supposed to spell out a word etc.

A mate looked one up which was just initials personal to him and it was well over a grand. He couldn't believe it was more than double the one I would like which spells out a word plainly, without need to move letters

    Re: Ayup big fella

I know someone who has something like DL09 KLT which is his initials, her initials and the year they married. I don't see anything wrong with personalised number plates really its only the ones which look nothing like what they're supposed to say that I think look stupid. The kind where 12 is used as an R

I've never understood the attraction of them, other that for status. I saw a pretty unique one on my way to Aldershot this morning. On the M25 I passed a black range rover type of vehicle with the registration 66G but the G was shaped to look like a 6.

In the old days, each town had its own prefix, and Barnsley was "HE" (Wakefield was "HL" and Leeds "UM" etc).

That's why the Mayor of Barnsley's limo is "THE 1". Must be the best reg ever!

I saw one in Poggy a few years ago - S5 OWL. Now it might be a coincidence or it might have been someone who escaped from Parson Cross.

Each to their own in my opinion. Haven't got one myself but nothing against them,
