Absolutely shocking , creating a problem out of nowhere. If they'd just let everyone leave when they wanted there would have been no issue. When little kids are crying because a copper is grabbing their Dad round the throat just because he wants to leave a football ground then something is seriously wrong.
    Shameful Policing.

    Agree completely.

Unfortunately we do have the minority of idiots who do spoil it for others, but today was no excuse, all home fans were still in the ground after their 3rd went in 15 minutes from time, its common sense.

The Commander in charge of the game should hang his head in shame!

By not allowing the gates to be opened was like pouring petrol on a bonfire aggravating this situation unnecessarily .

Complete over reaction from the Boys in Blue

My issue wasn't that we had to stop behind it was that they was blocking the gangway so if you needed the toilet you couldn't go. Wouldn't it make more sense by blocking the gates instead?

I've tweeted Derbyshire police to explain this reason but not got back to me yet

The worst copper was the young lad in the bottom right corner with a full facial beard. But the cops film the fans and nobody films the police so if people complained about him nothing would happen as footage I doubt is filmed to "protect" the police from aqusations.

They had to do something to legislate the extra bill they were charging to police the game... I hadn't seen any trouble then the 3rd goal goes in and they block the exits and stop people leaving. I have nothing against keeping people in but to stop folk going to the toilet and blocking elderly and people with young children from leaving the ground to get away before everyone gets out is disgusting.

We have got our idiots I've no doubt about that but 95% of the away crowd were treat like criminals today and they had done nothing wrong.... I'm not sure what can be done about us always getting heavy handed policing that for the majority of supporters ruins the day.

we need to have the ****ers weeded out and given banning orders. Then we can go back to being treated like civilised human beings, as 99% of us are. Instead, they carry on regardless and many excuse their behaviour as being "harmless fun and banter". So we all get treated like animals. Cause and effect.

I think we all know what needs to happen I was more thinking of ways to identify people who cause trouble so we can do something about it. With all the CCTV the police use these days we could put photo ID on people's account so unknown trouble causers can be flagged up when trying to purchase tickets.

Fans fault for being badly behaved. I saw at least 15 Barnsley hooligans fighting with Chesterfield fans before the match in the town centre. Worst behaved fans in the country, Mansford even said so.

They had to block the gangway because fans were rioting in the concourse

Funnily enough Hillsborough is exactly what I thought however my thoughts were 'our fans are acting like pre Hillsborough *****s on terraces'

I'm glad it's not just the club you like to attack but your fellow supporters as well. It demonstrates consistently.

Even the coppers admit their Hillsborough errors these days. A lovely day out spoiled by a few morons wearing uniforms.

They aren't my fellow supporters. I have nothing in common with them at all apart from we both happened to buy tickets to the same sporting event.

All barnsley fans had to do was wait 15 minutes after the final a whistle that's all, how can anybody complain over that especially if it prevents one innocent person getting hurt due to idiot fans from both clubs. I don't get what the problem is.
