Other people need to remember just because they are young doesnt make them above criticism theyre in a mans game now -also need experience to help them along -its rank bad management
People need to remember that we've had 3 months to sign experience to supplement the kids and add balance to the squad. That's why we have people running and managing our club.
And at the moment these people have to take responsibility for the squad , starting a season under prepared, as we currently are
Lets be honest though, experience is on the touch line and in the dressing room that's why we've a manager goal keeping coach etc etc. Nayatanga ,winnall, hourihane are all far from inexperienced now ,a few clubs and circumstances under their belt, nay tanga with relegation and international. No excuses ,there all good enough ,tactics and positional decisions lose the games
Tactics not implemented properly does certainly have an effect but it's not helped by trying to shore up a Full Back slot with a midfielder. Felt sorry for Scowan today.Did his best but was brutally exposed by the Chesterfield lad on the wing.
It is no good setting a team up with talented youngsters fighting with men . We do not have the blend of experience with raw talent. We will get better by the END of the season, then loans will go back and our best youngsters cherry picked by higher leagues. Holgate Digby, scowen etc. then it will be all start again. Remember our existing policy is to develop young players and sell on"...... Where does that leave us the supporters. Well it will be like last year top half of table but not good enough against the better teams. Not good enough I am afraid
Agreed that's why I said positional decisions. If next week we look good and solid and win by a margin all is good,if we lose and look shipwrecked then I'm afraid the owner and board has to take responsibility quickly as this is their ideas and remit
Bizarre comment. Johnson's had the summer to recruit experience to go alongside our young squad but instead he's brought in about 5 kids & a lad with no football league experience. Instead of making excuses for defeats we need to be looking at why the management hasn't addressed the biggest issue from last season
The only reason a manager can have a young squad as an excuse for poor performances is if he's took over mid season or had to play academy kids cos of an injury crisis but making excuses for a manager who's had a full summer in charge & gone with a young squad is wrong.
I wasn't making an excuse for a defeat, i was just mentioning the average squad age compared to other leagues
