Apparently our last opening game away win was at West Brom, the season we went up to the Prem. ?

We did win against Rochdale in the cup the other year but in the league away we won in 1996 and prior to that 1976. Once every 20 years

Didn't we beat middlesborough at home only the other year under Keith?

At home we haven't done as badly as people think. It's away from home that we only win once ever two decades

    From David Wood's tweet yesterday:

"Happy New Season. Barnsley have won their opening League match on just 9 occasions when away from Oakwell and just twice in the last 50 years"

We beat Middlesbrough at home a few years ago 1-0 on the opening day.

Hypothetically, if every team who lost away yesterday then wins their next home game then those fans should be fairly pleased. It's no big deal. The team who wins the League outright would have lost half a dozen away matches anyway. There's a long way to go this season. Anything can and will happen.
