Looking to re-home my BFC Mtchday Programme collection , moving home so need the space im afraid , includes our season in the premiership & some go back to 1974-75. P.M. me if interested. P.S. The Pugs not included
Dread to think how many have upstairs - get one from every game - must be best part of a thousand upstairs. Sure they'll go to a God home when I'm gone
I'll take any programmes anyone is wanting to get rid of. On the look out for a Tommy Taylor autograph
Did you see the item on eBay a month or two ago? It had quite a few autographs from that era, including Tommy Taylor and Danny Blanchflower. I was watching it, so I could put a late bid in, but then forgot. It actually went for a relatively low price. I'll let you know if I notice any more, as I generally keep my eye on everything Barnsley related, as I'm still on the look out for the four remaining programmes I don't have since 1954 (all between 57 and 63).
BFC Match Day Programmes While were on the subject of programmes, I've been quite lucky to have access to a near perfect collection of Barnsley issues and a couple of years ago I started a project to scan every available programme since 1944. At present and have reached the end of 1967-68 with the following omissions. If anyone one has a copy mentioned below, I would be indebted if you would be so kind to scan all its pages and send me the images. 44-45 25-Dec-44 Away Bradford PA War League 44-45 28-Oct-44 Away Chesterfield War League 44-45 09-May-45 Away Huddersfield War League 44-45 17-Feb-45 Away Hull City War League 44-45 04-Nov-44 Away Mansfield T War League 44-45 25-Nov-44 Away Rotherham U War League 44-45 08-May-45 Home Huddersfield War League 45-46 13-Mar-45 Away Manchester C War League 45-46 01-Sep-45 Away Preston NE War League 45-46 08-May-46 Home Sheffield Wed County Cup 46-47 25-Aug-46 Home Reds v Whites Friendly 47-48 28-Feb-48 Away Grimsby T Friendly 48-49 27-Nov-48 Away Bury League 48-49 04-May-49 Away Ferryhill Ath Friendly 49-50 11-Mar-50 Away Bury League 49-50 15-Oct-49 Away Leicester C League 49-50 02-May-50 Away St Mirren Friendly 49-50 11-Feb-50 Home Manchester C Friendly 51-52 24-Apr-52 Away Boston Friendly 51-52 29-Mar-52 Away Leicester C League 51-52 ??? HIya, Have you got Sheff Wed away & Chesterfield away (League Cup) from the PL season. Or have they gone?
Re: BFC Match Day Programmes I'll have a look tomorrow morning, as I may have a few of those. I've got 5 or 6 Reds v Blues ones I think. The Chesterfield friendly cropped up on eBay, but I can't remember whether I picked it up or whether it was ridiculously expensive, as a couple of the late sixties friendlies were put on for silly money. The ones I am missing (all homes) are: 1958-59 Cardiff City 1960-61 Newport County 1961-62 Bradford Park Avenue 1962-63 Brighton and Hove Albion
Re: BFC Match Day Programmes Okay, I have the 51-52 and 54-55 Reds v Blues, 62-63 Grimsby LC and 67 Chesterfield friendly. I'll scan them in and email them to you later.
Re: BFC Match Day Programmes Good on yer Mate. I dont think we issued a programme for that Denaby game as its a fixture that's been largely forgotten about. There was a Book published on the subject of the Sheffield County Cup a few years ago that mentions a proposal to invite Denaby, Frickley and I think Worksop Town to enter the competition in the early 60s but nothing officially came of it. This was the first game after three seasons of inactivity.
Re: BFC Match Day Programmes Actually, there may be a few more that you might not have, as I have added them to that spreadsheet you gave me: 2 April 1945 - home friendly with Charlton Athletic 3 September 1945 - Tom Robinson testimonial against 'Chosen XI' 13 August 1949 - Reds v Blues Let me know if you need those too and remind me what format you need them in. JPEG I think?
Good things come to those that wait , Take them all & ill let you have it hows that for a deal ?? P.M. me a contact number to arrange collection.
