    What's the difference?

Both have bags of ability, and both are idle beggars, especially when the going gets tough.
But why doesn't Hourihane get the same amount of stick McCourt did when with us?

To be fair he was selected but didn't actually play from November last year onwards ;)

See. He gets more stick than a dog playing fetch

This isn't a serious thread is it?

Hourihane was directly involved in all those goals last year whereas the only thing I remember Paddy doing was that goal against Boro.

To be fair, we were shocking in the championship.

Can't believe I've bitten with this one!
CH would not be at Barnsley if he was the complete package some on here want him to be.
I don't think I'm the only one who's prepared to take him for what he is - more than good enough to be first choice for all the games that matter.

Hourihane really isn't that lazy - this gets exaggerated far too much. Got a few tackles and headers at the weekens.

He's just not that physical or a great tackler - very harsh to call him lazy!

The difference? A load of assists and goals (yes admittedly the goals dried up a bit last season but overall he still had a good season statistically)

My problem with Hourihane isnt his work rate, although its not the best. My problem with him is that he really isnt a very good footballer. He floats a couple of corners into a general area hoping our big lads get on the end of them and takes a couple of penalties and his stats shoot up and nobody is allowed to say anything other than he's a ****ing God.

So why hasn't any other player managed to get as many assists by "floating" them in to the same big lads?

The Golden Boy has just missed a one on one with the keeper.

The keeper beat him to it
