According to the Barnsley Chronicle some middle-aged geezer buying a plastic skeleton for 100 quid off the internet is worthy of a front page headline.

I can only assume that there was absolutely no news around Barnsley this week.

"Barnsley Council announce the placing of a Dame Thatcher Memorial "

Still a long way to go to beat the TV news we saw last summer when we went to visit Calgary Tyke.

a 20 minute article about a missing cat during a fire evacuation on an estate.

    and

A full show dedicated to a man disputing a supermarket "rounding up" instead of "rounding down" to the nearest 5 cents since the abolition of the 5 cent piece. A full show dedicated to one man being out of pocket by 2 and a half pence.

when I was down the Falklands second time

they had BFBS which was British Forces Broadcasting Service... and then they had the local Island Radio... now that was hysterical.

There was a major concern when one of the "Benny's" land rovers had clipped wing mirrors with a British forces vehicle... I was beginning to wonder, by the way it got heated, if the 'Argies' were less of an issue to them.
