Plus say £25k in gate receipts for the game (45% of the money if we get just 8000 fans paying an average of 8quid each)

£5k for beating s****horpe plus 45% of the gate receipts which will have been something ridiculously low like £6k

That's around £110k up to now in the cup which won't have been budgeted for (as per the SCMP rules. It's a choice, either £66k towards a players wages which is a problem in itself as it will have to be a one year deal or we are in the same boat come June as we were this year. Or it could always be used as a capital investment for something that will hopefully increase revenue for all future years thu helping to increase the wage budget continually

and its not over yet, suppose we get past Everton?

sounds far fetched I know.... but then who would have thought we would have taken down Man Utd all those years back... and I was present at both Anfield and Oakwell when we took out Liverpool and Chelski... its not impossible... improbable yes.. but this is cup football so anything can happen.

The academy costs millions a year to retain Cat 2 status

Everton are much more upset prone than Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Certainly not out of the question, especially at home.

    absolutely Archey

I am certainly not holding my breath on us progressing, but you never know. I am a bit glad we got Everton at home.. what with Stones going there and making a success... and now Holgate... it just seems the perfect tie... and we already know we will bank a decent amount as we are on Sky too.

Building a proper supporters bar. Doing up all the concourses (ben said £100k was needed to do a proper job of improving match day facilities for supporters) or of course a 14 inch portable for above the tunnel. Any of the above would do for me really

New scoreboard. It doesn't get injured, desert us for a few more quid, doesn't get Billy big boots puts in a consistent performance and offers alternative entertainment to the dross on the pitch.

I see this all time Improve match day facilities, new score board a proper supporters bar the money should just get put into the academy or towards players wages. Dont get me wrong id love a all your suggestions to happern but most I want is for us to get back in the championship and compete in the league. In a ideal world we would be in premiership with oakwell full every other week we could buy the old school n turn it into supporters bar.

We need more fans through the doors though to increase the revenue for each year in order to have more to spend on players. It's OK chucking all our revenue on lero litas' and loan after loan but what after a few months when they've gone? That money might as well have been burnt on the centre circle. Spend some of it on improving facilities for the customers and you will have more money to spend every year not just this week.

It's why cinemas spend money on the decor and facilities rather than just spending all their cash on paying for the latest blockbuster to show in a dilapidated shed of a building

Yeah we won't have budgeted for a cup run or Holgate going so should be able to get a Chesterfield style scoreboard to put between the Ponty/West stands if we need a new place for it.
