    After a string of failed relationships with women met either on free dating apps or on the dancefloor of Bramers I've decided to put my hand in my pocket and pay in the hope of meeting someone who is both not a complete slapper and compulsive liar.

    Anyone had any success on there or should I immediately try and get my money back?

    A lad I work with met his bird on match. They've been together a couple of years now and it's all looking good for them.

    My mate met his girlfriend on match.com - going well and I think he will propose before too long.

    Another mate had luck on plenty of fish as well - you could give that one a try as well

    Used to drag an ex along all the time, spoke to her recently after being split up about 5 years and the first thing she mentioned was the resentment of me making her "free her ass off watching Barnsley lose".

    Few frustrations noted so far - they seem to have Barnsley as being in the North West therefore I'm getting profile views from women in Lancashire. Also, people can only message you back if they have paid for membership, I'm not sure what percentage of users actually pay for membership but it seems to be pretty low, you can of course pay extra so that anyone can message you but it costs enough as it is.

    I once put my details into Eharmony.com to see what matches I'd get and after filling it all in it looked for some results to match me and couldn't find any!!! I'm sure it said they had over a million members and a match for everyone.....except me!

    Haha. I tried to sign a mate up for a **** take a couple of weeks ago. I spent ages answering all their stupid questions and I tried to make him seem relatively normal and a bit of a catch. Once I'd completed it all I got the same response. A wind up that backfired on me. What a complete waste of time.
