Much as I love Sam Winnall, I think it's asking too much of him to play a lone striker role.

Just wish LJ would make a decision on his midfielders, and get back to 2 up front.

    4-4-2

We don't need 5 at the back, and we don't need a midfield of 5 that includes both Pearson and Scowen. Just too defensive.

I'm not overly disappointed with the start to the season, but I'm getting sick of managers over-complicating a simple game.

Sam can't play one up front it's not his game. Get him in the box if he stays fit he will score waste him chasing lost causes on his own he will score not very many.

Michael Smith is still on the radar, and he's exactly what we need alongside Winnall.

Horrible isn't it. It's killing football, and not just us. Wednesday fans were discussing the exact same thing on POG.

Managers putting not losing ahead of winning. Or maybe LJ doesn't have full confidence in his team right now and is planning to pick up a few points now with the hope they will improve as a team later in the season. Just a thought.

He has three fantastic defenders in Mawson, Nyatanga and Roberts. Jury out on Warbara.
He has a plethora of talented midfielders... he just needs to choose who he's going with.
He has a 20 goal a season striker in Sam Winnall, if he plays him alongside someone.

Have faith in your defenders LJ, stop trying to fit everyone into your midfield. Play Sam up front with a big man.... Wilkinson, Smith, whoever.
We'll win alot more than we lose.

Sam was p155ed off at being subbed, seemed to snub LJs handshake too. As you say, 1-up top is not his game. Thought Wabara did OK, but that's about all. I think Wilkinson just looks un-interested - which is not what LJ's DNA is all about is it ?

But LJs biggest issue to me is that the plethora of midfielders is obviously causing him a selection headache and he is devoting so much time to the issue that the rest of the pitch is an afterthought. Final third is a big issue - 2 home games and we have looked like a cautious away side.

That is exactly the way he played it at Oldham and we were told what to expect last season.
It will be a long boring season but for some as long as we win it doesnt matter haw we win.

Bringing in Crowley has affected Ben Pearson's game.

This town ain't big enough for the both of us!
