Did anybody else think Rob (or whoever was presenting) was being deliberately obtuse and was missing Conans' point on purpose?
He basically asked their opinion on why we were waiting for the Stones money before we signed players (a perfectly reasonable question when you consider we have the Holgate money and one of the bigger budgets in the league) and the presenter started going on about Ferraris. I got the feeling he was deliberately missing the point and quoting the party line.

Yes. He was trying to make out that the money received from the Holgate transfer isn't anywhere near as much as what we'd receive from the Stones transfer, which wasn't the point James was making. It's a valid point though that James was trying to make, in the sense that we need to not rely on the money coming in from the Stones sale, as it may not happen until 11:59pm next Tuesday. And that further loans aren't an option seen as we needed to leave Townsend out last week to make way for Harris. We've too many already. Didn't realise it was Conan though, I did actually wonder when he made the point about having 6 loanees by the 2nd week of the season, sounded like a direct quote from his post last week. Probably the one and only time I've ever agreed with something he's said Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
He said that we had the Holgate money left to spend, to which the presenter (Staton) said it was a pittance (or similar) next to the Stones sell on money. Now I thought that we were talking seven figures that we received for Holgate and the club stated it was substantially more than had been reported in the press, which was 500k by some and a million by others. I think Staton doesn't realise the amount we got for Holgate and how much that money is worth in the league we are in.
