Anyone signed up? It looks a legit way to make risk free cash and I first saw it mentioned here.......

From the post in that thread I gave this thread a scan through where loads of people seem to have won easy risk free money......

    http://www.netmums.com/coffeehouse/...profit-accumulator-discussion-thread-all.html

The jist seems to be you start with 100 quid and have an account with Betfair and another with a normal everyday high street bookies. Mainly used in Horse Racing you back an horse to win with the regular bookie and back it to lose on Betfair by laying it. Then whatever the outcome you get more than your 100 quid combined stake back.

i had a quick go and made about £200 risk free in just over a week, unfortunately i'd already got accounts with most bookies so couldn't really crack on with the free bets intro ,
a mate as made a fair bit though, also setting up accounts in his birds name whose address is different
it really does work but be careful with the liability needed and make sure there's enough in the market when laying off,
does look complicated to start with but easy once you get the hang of it, also keep placing normal bets so the bookie doesn't gub you

the bookies won't gub you......unless you win all the bets with them and lose em all on betfair.....which just cannot happen in the long run....swings and roundabouts.

I have done this - made around £100 in a week but didn't have the patience to continue (its quite a bit of time and effort).

My mate has been doing this for around 6 months and made around £2000.

For this to work, the odds on Betfair have to be shorter than the bet you've put on with the bookies. Statistically the odds on Betfair seem to be longer than the bookies, i.e. you get a better price on Betfair, hence you have to lay more. Therefore whichever the outcome, whether the horse wins or loses then you're out of pocket as you've backed it shorter than you've laid it.

    Back £10 @ 10/1 with the bookies.
    Lay £110 (win £10) @ 12.0 with Betfair.

Horse wins you're a tenner down. Horse loses you're quits. Over time this is not a viable strategy, so please tell me how this works.

there's a calculator to minimize loss on the cash bet and even picks the closest events, obviously some need a large liability in the exchange.
bet on 1 then lay off at betfair lose 20p maybe even win ?
then you are left with a free bet

i was sceptical about this scheme but it really does work, though you can go through the major bookies intro offers without paying a sub

So the real winners are the company charging the subs?

As I see it I could do the same on my own with a bit of patience

Still can't see it working, you're laying off at higher odds

there's 1000's of bets going, there's a tool in which you pop in details of the bookie and it calculates the closest bets, don't look at the sport, it can be Outer Mongolia v's Constantinople at blow football! if the odds match then go for it, higher odds needs more cash for the liability though.
the lesser bookies are harder because they can't offer the best odds, you may have to lose £2 to qualify for a free bet.
if you don't have an account with b365 coral betfred ladbrokes paddy power bet victor skybet billy hill then its quite easy to make £20/£30 per bookie using their intro offers, the lesser bookies do have t&c needing further bets or/and at certain odds

if you give it a go don't sign up to pay anything, the header site gives you the tools to work it for free to a point.
make sure you understand how it works before placing bets with your own money, especially the liability when laying off, you can end up having to have £100+ in betfair to cover it, if done right you won't lose, but as i said before, you can lay a bet off for £100 but only be £50 in the market at your odds offered, if no takers then you have to up the odds and maybe lose a couple of quid if the betfair bet loses.
it does look like rocket science to start but its really simple once you work it out

It's matched betting, there's a full section on money saving expert site, I've done it before but can't see how people make thousands as I soon ran out of betting site offers so they get harder to find and more obscure sites?
