Great performance, but I must criticise Wilkinson.

Worst 30 minute cameo I have witnessed, and I saw Deon Burton !

If I am being unfair, watch his 3 "headers" back on TV in Extra time. One was a non-header (think he shat himsen), one he didn't commit to (those were both first period) then for his finale he headed one sideways, again assuming he thought he was going to get clattered (2nd period). Also a couple of efforts that you just knew super Sam would have chased.

And the coup de grace ....... a 30 yard sprint to ensure he was stood next to Lukaku to swap shirts.

Robbing a first time place from someone who actually gives a flying f3ck.

Rest of them, ratings would range from very good, to amazing. Scowen and Roberts even higher. And well played Conor Hourihane. Best game for a while.

Wilkinson won't be able to look them in the eye tomorrow.

Very proud on the whole of what I saw tonight.

Thank God for that. I was beginning to worry that there was no one to slag off.

I'm not sure why he took Winnall off, he was our biggest threat in the 2nd half, and didn't appear to be struggling. I'd have bet on Sam getting on the end of one of a few very good balls into the box late on.

I'm trying to reserve judgment on Wilkinson, but I can't yet see what his strengths are. He should have scored with the header late after a perfect cross from young Smith.

A post criticising him and no mention of what looked to be a bra he had on. If I was him i'd have not been in an hurry to take my shirt off and show that to everyone. He's going to be ribbed for it :)

I don't think he's up to it and we lost something when he come on. I don't think we'll be extending his loan.

I hope not. But then to be fair, Jonathan Walters looked no better when we had him, so anything is possible.

On a night that barnsley football club can hold their head up high, i hate to be too critical but ive got to agree we went down to 10 men when he came on, sorry to say . What LJ sees in him god knows looks like another case of daveys love child syndrome is taking place....time to send him back.....in my opinion he doesnt bring anything to the table ....weve let better go .......but well done BFC you did the town proud tonight

Two games running we've looked poorer once that change has happened. Illustrates how much we need another striker option, because Wilkinson isn't (on brief viewing) a patch on Winnall.

I've got to disagree on this. I thought he was appalling on Saturday but felt he contributed tonight.

Cracking effort that tested Robles, then the header Stones cleared off the line & the lad was actually challenging for headers which made a nice change.

Got to questions the lads attitude & how far he wants to go in the game if he's picking & choosing his games to try in though

I'm afraid I have to agree. He was the only Reds player who wasn't excellent today. I haven't seen anything in him so far that justifies his selection ahead of one of our youngsters and with umpteen other loan players on our books he'd be the one to miss put for me. If he does care he needs to work on his body language, cos it doesn't show.

I've looked everywhere and I can't find the rule that says you have to criticise a player after a good team performance.

Look at it this way. I think a lot of people have their mind made up about Wilkinson because he didn't sign on a permanent deal. But if he had, we'd have been stuck with him for 2-3 years.

I've got to agree, he reminds me of a Rory Fallon but with a lesser goal threat, i honestly don't think we'll extend his loan.

Personally I think this is a bit harsh and uncalled for. Didn't do that bad, had a few nice touches from what I saw. And whatever happens the time to judge a player isn't coming on against a premier league team with not too much game time under his belt.

He might end up being rubbish.. But from what limited I've seen already I think he offers more than hemmings and lita ever did.

Not judging him as a player - that would take into account far more criteria; but judged his 30 minute performance on an evening where his 13 team-mates performed like heroes. They were up against Prem Internationals too but showed a lot more heart than he did. And the post mentioning 'Stones block on the line from him' well - I am pretty sure that is the one he chose to head sideways at Stones rather than in front of him to the net

He was poor. I don't hate him for it, I'm not going to call him names and if he starts on Saturday I'll be behind him.

I think the guy walking off the pitch at the end wearing the Barnsley shirt with Wilkinson on the back looked pretty awesome throughout the match!
(For those that didn't see it ......Romelu Lukaku couldnt wait to put on a reds shirt after swapping his with Wilkinson!!! (He was also extremely complimentary about both the team and the club!)
