    I agree that some people can be too overly sensitive about this kind of thing but I think Tyke was on borrowed time for previous misdemeanors. It's hard to tell when he's joking and when he's being serious.

    I don't know what was happening when you had admin privileges, but you seemed to get a lot more alerts than what ever reached me? We hardly get any really, which is why you have to do something if a flurry come in at once.

    Know what you mean though. However, the alerts today mainly came from regularly posters and contributors.

    I've never used the alert feature on here, I've never felt the need but it does it automatically follow that a post will be removed if used by several people?

    Honestly, I had 7 emails in the space of about 10 minutes at one point. Maybe folk were expecting me to be this big bad axe wielder, I dunno. I resigned shortly afterwards. A couple weren't happy with me being admin anyway, but I've better things to do than solve folks' quarrels.

    The main job of admin is deleting double posts, blocking spammers, sticking threads ......... and then every now and again someone steps over the line and you hand out a ban. But I reckon we hand out maybe four or five bans a year tops. Yet whenever it happens it's made out as if it's a regular occurrence.

    You were being naughty with your admin privileges to be fair, so I'm not surprised there was a bit of kick back. Not sure editing posts is part of the moderating remit!

    We should treat banned people like sky do with pitch invaders. Just ignore them once they have been.
