STONES.. we had no idea how good he was from the people in control at Oakwell.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34100493 this is a piss take and shows just what the circus masters we have at the 'Well
Re: STONES.. we had no idea how good he was from the people in control at Oakwell.. No it doesn't. His ability now is far clearer than his POTENTIAL ability was two years ago as a young player with only 20 odd games behind him. Of course they messed up big time in not knowing his ability but its also obvious that his ability is far more obviously known now
seriously matey.. can you not feel a total shfting coming on for BFC I seriously can.... its how we Roll at the well.
Re: seriously matey.. can you not feel a total shfting coming on for BFC Yawn..Come on, you as much as me, have not and will not know the details, and why should we. Bargain booze don't write on the price label how much they paid for it! We won't get shafted, we got good money for a 20 game player. The board were wise enough to stick a good sell on clause. Patrick could pocket the money from stones, nowt we could do about it, and I for one do not think I can blame him.... But this has been done to death....
Re: seriously matey.. can you not feel a total shfting coming on for BFC Unless Everton actually ask us to pay them some money back from what they paid us then I can't see how we can possibly be shafted
Re: STONES.. we had no idea how good he was from the people in control at Oakwell.. If ya can do better push for the job, I think rules and regulations slow everything down to a stand still and decisions are rushed or bad timed, not an easy commen mans job at all.
Re: seriously matey.. can you not feel a total shfting coming on for BFC We didn't get enough money for Stones. Didn't you know?!
Re: STONES.. we had no idea how good he was..thats the people in control at Oakwell They also wanted to appoint the manager who is propping up the entire football league. Scary.
Re: STONES.. we had no idea how good he was..thats the people in control at Oakwell It was obvious that Stones was a class player at Oakwell. It's as simple as that..... At the time however were the club sensible to sell? Maybe, maybe not but the sell on clause was a good idea at 15%. If Stones had got injured or had bombed in the meantime however we would be applauding the board for a deal well done would we not?
Re: STONES.. we had no idea how good he was from the people in control at Oakwell.. It's not what Cryne said last week. Also Alex Fergusan didn't rate him above any of their players. I don't believe there was any 5m bids to turn down. I bet the same people who criticise the Stones fee didn't pay 26 quid to watch us play Everton. And want cheaper ticket prices.
Re: STONES.. we had no idea how good he was from the people in control at Oakwell.. This has been done to death - but it is an important issue - and one that riles me. Just to reiterate about Stones - Flicker was saying we have a great player within our midst - Bobby Hassel said in the Chronicle that there was a 'Rolls Royce' of a player at Oakwell. Everybody at the club, including the fans, knew this - except the directors. That was under the leadership of Don Rowing - surely Ben has a better grip on the value of players now. But the problems surrounding the Stones transfer goes much deeper than that. Up until Ben started work at the WELL - can anyone name one (just one) player that has been sold over the last 10 years that we have got a good price for? Every time a player was sold up to recently - the fans on here have gone ballistic when they have got to know how much he was sold for. Shackell was a prime example. I think things are made even worse when you look at one of our neighbours - the Blunts. One of their fans was telling me that they have received something in the region of £45 MILLION for players over the last 10 years. Is there such a gulf between Barnsley and the Blunts? Example - would Barnsley have received £1 MILLION for Jordon Slew.............yes that's right..........who's he?
Re: STONES.. we had no idea how good he was..thats the people in control at Oakwell He wasn't at the time. And it doesn't automatically mean he'd have failed with us. Your post just smacks of grasping at anything to bash the club with. Bit sad.
Re: STONES.. we had no idea how good he was from the people in control at Oakwell.. A player is only worth as much as another club is willing to pay.
Re: STONES.. we had no idea how good he was..thats the people in control at Oakwell This made me chuckle https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terry_Butcher#Newport_County
Re: STONES.. we had no idea how good he was from the people in control at Oakwell.. What gets me abart Stones, was that we only saw him 20 odd games in a reds shirt, he should have been in the first team sooner.
Re: STONES.. we had no idea how good he was from the people in control at Oakwell.. The fee we got for Stones was the last anyone was willing to offer. Man Utd 'had better' Wigan didnt want to meet the 2.2 Everton were the only club willing to pay that and wont go any higher. So we cashed in.
