Seems that you're one of those people who can only see in black and white. If someone is not posting that we're cr@p we're therefore posting that everything is fine and dandy? I think we all know we need more options up front, but some of us are a bit more constructive with our opinions and supportive of the club than others. You seem to be one of those that are poised, waiting for us to lose so you can pick back up from where you left off. I get that you are disappointed with the way things are going, I get that you are unhappy with the people currently at the club, but I don't really get that you actually want to do your part as a supporter and try to support the team through this, because I'm pretty sure that the best way to help the team improve is not coming on here slagging them off at every given opportunity. Try to have a bit of balance and give a little thought to your words before you press the button and post them on here. Then perhaps you won't get as many peoples' backs up as you do. Unless, of course, that's your intention? You mentioned that LJ has your total support, but I don't see how you can say this when you start threads off by questioning if he knows what he is doing. I can't wait to see what you post about him once you have decided you're not going to support him any more. Actually, I'll never know what you say, because I am going to take you up on your advice and pop you on my ignore list. I really don't know why people like you bother with this board or bother considering yourself a Reds fan. For the record, despite probably being callec a 'happy clapper' further down this thread: - I am disappointed with the performances in the league this season, but I feel that when Winnall is back to full fitness, when the midfielders have settled in to what LJ wants them to do and when Williams is back and can give us the extra drive forward from midfield things should pick up. - I am disappointed in Wilkinson's performances this season. He hasn't been effective and, more importantly, hasn't given the impression that he's as up for it as the rest of the squad. - I don't think the one up front is working at the moment. A good example is the goal that Pearson gave away against Everton when he had no outlet further forward, so tried passing back inside. We only had Winnall forward and he was on the other side of the pitch to Pearson. I also recognise that key injuries and lack of strikers limits our options though. - I think we need more attacking options. Another two players preferably. So I probably share some of the concerns that you do, but I have a different way of saying it. I know that the club are doing all they can to work on improving the squad and improving the performances and it may take a little time, but I fully believe that LJ will get us there.
When the team/individual players play well they recieve good comments and praise, but when the team/individual players play rubbish they quite rightly get told just that.
Fine, and some people do that, me included. What I get annoyed with are the same few people who rarely praise and then go overboard and get personal in their attacks. It really does appear like half a dozen just wait for a defeat so they can carry on posting their OTT nonsense. If they were balanced and constructive with their comments it wouldn't be a problem.
Sorry Sir I don't recite War n Peace . Can't be doing with all the words melarky. Tell it as it is: Yesterday Carp Everton Game super Politicians are full of words, Phrases, long boring speeches and look where that has got us !!!! Another song of the day for Lee Jay www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQ9DrReE-uo
People do go overboard, not only when we lose, but also when we win. Having said that, there's no excuse for professional sportsmen not turning up and seemingly being unable to play 2 games in 3 days. Tennis players put them to shame.
You mean like Conan who disappeared for a few days after the Everton game but is all over it like a particularly irritating rash now we've lost?
Are all football fans like us, or are we generally more negative, more unforgiving and more critical than other clubs?
Usually a couple of hundred quid a season if it's all the same to you, in replica shirts for my son, player subscription and occasional games it's a 6hr round trip for games for me so apologies I'm not as much of a supporter. Not that it makes any difference what I've invested I'm a Barnsley FC supporter. Doesn't mean I'm not happy we lost yesterday of course I'm not. Watch LJ's prematch interview and its fairly evident he's pissed off with a few of the players and that he was going to deal with them. Will be taking you up on that ignore option when I'm next on my MacBook though.
