    OK so the window is now closed, we made Townsend a permanent signing. So my question is this... can we make loans permanent AFTER the window closes???

    I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that if an agreement is in place for a loan deal to potentially be made permanent, then said permanent deal can be done outside of the window. Could be utilised in relation to Smith, and maybe Wilkinson.

    Middlesbrough did this with Lee Tomlin (I think).

    We can agree permanent deals to come into action in the January window, but can sign non contract players.

    I was thinking about Pearson TBH

    LJ made a hint in an interview that he may be able to be made permanent... that would be tremendous.
