On a more positive note.............he takes penalties..........which is a sign that the management of the club trust him as a goal scorer

The great Nudge has decreed him bad. What's the point of even going, we'll all just listen to Nudger and he'll tell us what we're gonna play like.

You obviously don't come down Oakwell to watch games then or pay attention when you are here. Smith bullied our defence when he played here last season. Just the player we need! FFS what do we have to do we sign target man proven in L1... And one of top goalscorers in L1 last year and before he's kicked a ball you criticise him, eh? Don't get it. Well done LJ, top draw signing!

For the positive fans amongst us here are Smithy's Goals from 2014

Good finish for a big man. Welcome to Oakwell!

I'm glad we have got him; he's got a pretty decent record at league one level.

So you have critisised a proven league one striker before he has even put a shirt on for us. Unbelievable. Have you not found a Russian billionaire to pump a load of money into the club yet? Stop trolling n get behind em.

Thing is abart texts or emails or message boards.............the message can easily be misconstrued.

Read the message again..........I'm talking about the opinion I had of him during the only time I've noticed him.

He might well be the signing we are all hoping for..............if he does well tho.........will Swindon want him back?

And if he's so good.........why have they released him in the first place?

Lets just hope that he is so big and clumsy that balls just bounce off his arse into the net or hit the back of his head and fall to Winnall to have a tap in

    You have serious issues.

The goals he gets are a bonus. He's a focal point, he's a physical threat, he does the spade work.

    So I'm told.

Personally, I can't remember him against us, and in the games I've seen him play (Sheff U playoffs most recent) he looked awful.

Not that I give a toss, because until he plays for us it matters not. I was told to expect a fat, lazy basterd when Winnall signed....

After all these years..........we are still waiting for a replacement for the £750k we got for Shipperley.

He was the last big awkward fooker that we have had at centre forheead - everything that hit him seemed to go in the net or bounce to one of the other players for a tap in.

Some of those one-touch finishes are sublime, both with head and foot. I love the back-heel. I had not seen some of those goals. Just what we need, both in terms of hold-up play and finishing.
