-----------------A Goalkeeper------------- Wabara---Roberts---Nyatanga---Smith ----Scowen----Pearson----Hourihane--- Harris-----Smith-----Jackson------------- I've thought about this for 5 minutes while having my banana yoghurt dessert. I'm going for a 4-3-3 for next week. I'm putting Harris on the right wing and pairing him with Wabara. Smith in the middle to cross to. Jackson is little and has a bit of pace and hopefully won't be caught off-side all the time. Hourihane on the left for deadball situations and Nyatanga ahead of Mawson because he is possibly more likely to score from dead-ball situations. Smith to play left back. Hopefully Michael Smith and Jackson will be like Niall Quinn and Kevin Phillips. It should be said that I see myself more as a dunkologist than football manager. I'm off to the shop to buy some biscuits now.
Considering we started with a 4-5-1 against Shrewsbury I think the chances of us going with anything more adventurous are slim. I think the team that started yesterday will start on Saturday. PS. Davies in goal.
Davies Bree - Roberts - Nyatanga - Smith Watkins - Scowen - Hourihane - Harris Winnall - Smith Four four ******* two with round pegs firmly and securely in round holes.
Davies; Bree, Roberts, Mawson, Nyatanga, Smith; Scowen, Crowley, Hourihane; Watkins (Wilko?), Winnall. 3-5-2, exact XI and system I suggested before yesterday's defeat. I'm fully aware that it won't happen. No way will he play three forward thinking central midfielders. And he doesn't seem to like George Smith on the left, despite the lad's last three starts being three wins. We played this system opening day, and by all accounts it was playing Scowen out of position that killed us, not particularly the system. We even got a goal out of Wilko.... **I know nowt about football or tactics in reality, I'm just a spectator, but I can pretend.

Struggling to pick a team with Hourihane, Crowley, Pearson and Scowen. Would need to drop one whatever the formation but I can't decide who.
I'd try Pearson at right wing back, he looked comfortable there at the end against Everton. I agree with you I would like to keep them all but the team isn't right with one striker and them all playing midfield Sent from my Hudl HT7S3 using Tapatalk
