Always happy for the home nations to do well, whoever they're playing. Don't take as much interest as I once did, but I don't watch as much football as I used to.
How can Scotland play like this against the World Champions, yet perform like they did against Georgia?
Dunno. It's like saying how can Barnsley play like this against Everton, then crap against Shrewsbury.
Just back from the game. Thankfully we showed a bit of fight and made a game of it but it still felt like men against boys for large parts of the game. We were let down by some woeful basic skills at times which didn't help and I also thought that they had more in the tank if required. So it looks like another qualifying tournament ends in disappointment but at least we're in an easy group for the next campaign
I wNted Scotland to win (despite being a big fan of German football) just like I want any home nation team to win when they play. Great performance. Rubbish result.
Not bothered about any of the home nations, including England. Whatever happens, happens. Zero affinity with any of them. The world has punished me enough by forcing Barnsley onto me. I'm not going to follow a laughably poor home nation, either. Give me decent-quality foreign nations to please my eye, not the local rubbish. Thanks.
For all those who don't want to see other home nations do well. Question for you, next June / July would you rather watch Spain - Hungary or Spain - Republic, NI, Wales or Scotland. The home nation every time for me. Hope they all get through, not sure if that's possible now with Ireland & Scotland, doubt they can both overtake Poland but all the best to them all particularly Wales & Northern Ireland who I've really got behind
