The opportunity to put differences behind us and get behind the manager & team for ninety minutes. There's also the opportunity to enjoy good company, too. I'm hoping we get to see Williams today for the first time this season. Perhaps Jackson may also get a chance to show us what he can do, even if it's only from the bench. I'm looking forward to today's game and hope it'll be a good match to watch, as both teams try to play football even if they don't always succeed. Last season, I thought Swindon were the best footballing side to visit Oakwell. Although they've lost a number of players this Summer, I don't know whether this will affect either the quality or standard of their style.
I hope he can bring the same level of energy and link up play between the midfield & forwards as he did last season. Although I won't be surprised if he proves to be a little ring rusty, after not playing for so long.
I think we might have a very good chance of a win today as I will not be in attendance. I got a severe rolllicking from BigLil last week for the performance and result. Gotta say I did forget my Lucky White Heather.
My fear for this season is that we're far too inexperienced and we will be old manned in many games. Shouldn't be a problem today as Swindon have nearly as young a squad as us. Doesn't mean we'll win of course, but if we don't I doubt it will be because they shut up shop and grab a goal from a set piece. Should be an entertaining game whatever the result and we should be given a glimpse of the good football of which Johnson believes his players are capable. Hope so.
I've missed the Burton and Shrewsbury games due to a stag do and wedding so I'm proper looking forward to it. You reds.
Seeing as Arabian Ian isn't with us today, I'm wondering if I should lay the blame on little Amelia, who sits at the side of me, if we lose?
If we lose God Forbid, the blame will most probably lay with Lee Jay but hey the Team sheet may be a little bit more adventurous today I would like to think.
Should we win, I'm sure the volume of praise for Lee Johnson will be of equal size to the level of criticism he's received from his detractors.
As it should be Just say things as they are on the field of play and I've found you don't go far wrong
People see things differently. There may be subtle nuances, progress from the team or a particular individual, favouritism, bias both for and against individuals, willingness to back your own team or a lack of it, a willingness to look beyond the immediate.
Subtle nuances? If it's ought like I've witnessed up to press, subtle Ponces would be a more apt description.
