It's not about shutting a few up! It's about delivering the goods and walking the walk which I'm sure we are all mighty relieved about today.
Not by me, see the thread I started. I think we have every right to question what looked like a ropey team selection before the event. I was wrong - to a point. Admitted as much. But we only looked good after he changed it and brought winnall on. It takes a strong manager to recognise it's not working and change it so early, and for that I've given him credit.
In football you sometimes deserve a break now and then. No luck in this victory today. It sounds as though it was thoroughly Deserved!! Just my luck I wasn't there to witness it!
I agree with you. Whilst it's fine to offer constructive criticism the negativistas on here should really get a grip. Where is the sanity in OTT criticism followed a week later by praising the manager to the skies? For gods sake show some balance and patience. Jesus.
When we win we're brilliant and when we lose we're awful. That seems to be the case on here. We're far from both on the majority of occasions. I think the difference yesterday was how we set up against a different type of team. We let them pass it between their centre halves without pressing for the majority of the game. However, when there was seemingly a chance to nick it the whole team pressed together and we won the ball back at counter attacked. We knew when to press and when not to press yesterday and you have to give LJ credit for that. The challenge will come when teams sit back against us and do what we did to Swindon.
