Been told he was there today watching Hourihane, leaving just after he scored. Must have been impressed, surely. He's ROI Assistant for those that don't know.
and hes also a totally annoying plonk when hes a pundit on Itv's live coverage, for those that dont know
Blimey Conor hourihane is a very good player for league one but he's not international standard yet I don't think, he's not complete enough (though improving) - for example another Irish player who does a similar job as him - but better - would be wes hoolahan at Norwich. Streets ahead of Conor, and I'm glad. Last thing we need is our players getting international call ups, leading to either having to play without them or postponements - leading to fixture congestion. I'm hoping ROI have enough in the championship and premier league, as he won't be far away if not. Plus hoolahan is 33, they might be looking to the future.
Probably based on this. http://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/...-prospect-dan-crowley-for-ireland-353432.html
Keano signed Hourihane twice - for Sunderland and Ipswich. So he's obviously rated him in the past and may persuade O'Neill to give him.a chance. As some say, having internationals in L1 can be disruptive but it would certainly increase his value.
