I wasn't even contemplating going but now I can do so with a smug feeling of self-righteous warmth having stuck it to the man.

    Oi, Oyston, boo!

Boo ****ing hoo they arnt spending their parachute payments which they shouldnt be getting in the first place, no club should. Do you really think Holloway would have been able to assemble that squad of players with no investment from Oyston? There stadium is far improved now to what it was when he took over and who cares about a statue? Sounds to me like a mutual dislike between the fans and the owner, no worse than we've seen at other clubs.

From the person who thinks theft at a football ground is 'probably justified'im hardly surprised at your selfish stance

Fair play to you for sticking to your guns but you are coming across as a bit of a nobhead. If you think a club being deliberately run into the ground is "no worse than we've seen at other clubs" then you're a blinkered idiot.

I'm working, and even if I wasn't, I wouldn't be going. Shame, because it's a cracking away weekend.

I don't agree with them getting matches abandoned, and to be fair I think they've accepted that's the wrong course of action as it affects supporters of other clubs thus affecting their own support from the likes of us in standing alongside them in their hour of need. But aye, I'm unable to go anyway, so an easy stand for me.

Usually I'd be saying 'each to their own' and be understanding of the alternate viewpoint, but not on this. If as a football supporter you can't see what's happening here then you're a bit of a wally.

I hope they get their club back, I hope the couple of thousand reds fans going across will do their bit by not buying anything inside the ground and I hope we take three points.

Theft? You asked me if pissing in a policemans hat was justified? Ive gotta admit I couldnt stop laughing. But yes, I do think its justified if said person was being denied a basic human right of being able to use the toilet. Surprised you go to the game with the apparent vile scum you seem to think your surrounded by.

just out of interest, how many other clubs did stick by us when we were desperate for similar help in 2002 ?
maybe im wrong here but I seem to remember the majority telling us to eff-off, and laughing at us. i feel sorry for what blackpool fc are going through but we shouldnt me made to feel guilty every single time a club go through such a bad time.

Because who knows what might happen in the future and we might rely on other teams supporters to help us out one day.

Pity they didn't protest as much when their Chairman was convicted of rape and sexual assault and ask for him to leave then. But no , he was ploughing money into the club and taking them on a journey to the Premier League.
Now he's taking money back out of the club suddenly they can't stand him.

They've no right to ask me for support when all it is about is money. Not principles.

That was his dad, the former chairman of Blackpool, who stepped down after his conviction in 1996.

Ern when we went into administration our principles went out of the window. No one complained before John Dennis ran out of cash. It's easy to judge in hindsight.

John Dennis is a decent bloke and only wanted the best for the club. Where is the relevance in that to Owen Oysten. My point is they should never have wanted him as owner in the first place with his criminal convictions for sexual offences but they were happy to overlook that as he was spending money on them. Now him and his son are taking money out of the club their getting all upset.

Hes done worse things in the past which should have made the fans want him out but they didn't they ignored his crimes because he was flashing the cash.

We have wanted the Oystons out for years, in 1997 an orange sierra was dumped outside bloomfield road stating 97% of fans want oyston out. Nothing has changed. As for flashing the cash???? The only reason we got in the premier was because of Belekon (20% shareholder) who invested in the squad which resulted in us getting Adam, DJ etc, if it wasn't for him we would never have got to the prem.

The stadium, the North (which you are in) and West was heavily funded by football grants and the South was funded by Belekon. The only one oyston has been involved in is the cheap temp East stand that has awful facilities and he only sorted as otherwise the prem wouldn't let us in.

And Belekon is still owed 7M by oyston, but I'll leave what more I say as otherwise I will be sued which a lot of our fans have already been. One for 20K!!

As for the game, think it will be the easiest 3 points for you of the season, enjoy but dont expect any atmosphere from the pool fans that are left (he has killed the whole club) but enjoy your trip and good luck for the season. Please try not to spend anything in the ground although I can understand why you want beer (but remember its because of our boycott you can as otherwise you would all be in the East with a burger van and portoloo) but remember there are some pubs nearby so you dont need to get in early, Wethers is just on Lytham road so cheap ale there. Also the new wethers (Velvet Coaster) on prom by Pleasure beach is worth a visit if weather ok.
