There's 24 things listed here that Corbyn believes in. I reckon a lot of people will actually agree with most of them. Not in a philosophical debating sense, but when just put to people as everyday issues.

Do you think we should reduce the deficit but through hitting the richest not the poorest? Do you think we should renationalise the railways? Do you think academies and free schools should be overseen by local education authorities? Do you think the poorest are paid too little in society and we shouldn't be propping up large corporations through welfare spending? Do you think we need considerably more affordable housing? Do you want a publically owned NHS? Do you think that instead of bailing out the banks shareholders quantitive easing should be used to invest in public infrastructure and services?

I'm not sure many people would disagree with any of those things.

    I'm baffled.

Having been elected by an overwhelming majority the new Labour leader says:

"We don't have to be unequal. Poverty isn't inevitable. It doesn't have to be unfair. Things can and will change".

Imagine being so cynical that you read that and think "Labour have lost it".

Thing is we could all write stuff like that, and publish a lot of things that's would appeal to some people, problem is he's got to show how he's going to pay for them at some stage and that will isolate a lot of voters because the money he is talking about he's going to have to hit a lot more than just top earners
Thing is there are also a lot of like someone ( Mario?) said college ideological stuff amongst them too like his barmy defence ideas, and lets have a chat with the terrorists
So like I said you can't isolate a large part of the population not to mention a large part of your own party and hope to be a serious force in politics

How did the IRA come to lay down their weapons? It wasn't by having soldiers on the streets it was by way of dialogue.

Sometimes in order to reach s goal you have to engage with people you might really prefer not to but without that engagement you'll get nowhere.

Bombing em has got us into this position, bombing em some more isn't going to fix it.

The IRA issue was long and complicated, so leaving that aside would you have say ISIS over for a chat?

If it stops the slaughter them yes.

Alternatively we can send more troops to die on foreign fields for an indeterminate length of time.

But it wouldn't. The ideology between the IRA and ISIL are a universe apart. They don't want to negotiate; all they want is to impose their barbaric interpretation of Islam on the world.
I'm struggling to believe that anybody seriously thinks that we can negotiate with ISIL.

My God, I didn't realise until now when I listen to Corbyn that he is actually a communist, that's what he should call himself. The Labour Party has been duped. They are surely doomed. The man is 70 years behind the modern world. He actually thinks that world hasn't changed since then. Very sad for the party. Can't see him lasting a year tbh. Total madness. A joke. Cameron will make him look a fool in pmq's. Poor old bugger.

If he thinks that Labour will win the next election after that speech then he's clearly delusional

theres no bigger fool than cameron, but because he looks the 'part' he gets away with it.Theres only the fukin tories who would get away with saying yorkshire folk hate each other, just imagine if corbyn had said the same about someone from oxfordshire or buckinghamshire,he'd be slated in every media outlet there is.

i'm interested in what makes him a communist,is it because he wants a fairer society,is it because he'll go after the companies that trade here but contribute very little towards the running of the country.maybe its because he see's the latest attack on the working class(strike reforms) as one step too far, especially from a government elected with nothing like the majority they are now demanding.

forget how corbyn looks or how old he is,what in that speech is making him unelectable?

The right wing have taken over apparently.

The gas chambers are the first door on the left.

The Daily Mail will show you jews, blacks, gypsies, etc the way.

Are you for real? Apparently it must be an automated reply as no human could actually say such things.
