Not sure about that. Amazing what they can do these days.

Not so much career over due to the injury, more that he'll miss at least this season, one that would have been crucial for his development IMO

I also can't see him getting back to a level that he can perform at the level that Man Utd would want any time soon.

He'll be worried about losing his pace which is a big part of his game.

Gotta agree players are never the same after injury like that. I haven't seen the tackle but all the plastic man u fans at work were fuming about it.

I couldn't see much wrong with the tackle, there was certainly no malice in it.

It's a bad one but he can make a full recovery. Ruptured ACL and Hamstrings are the really nasty ones (career wise)

The main thing wrong with it was that it was reckless as he could have easily given a penalty away. He took the ball with his right (leading) leg and caught Shaw with his left (trailing) leg. Shaw's leg was off the ground too. Looking at the picture above I assume the hole is the result of surgery and not of the tackle. I can't see how the contact could have caused so much damage. Having said that I was playing with someone last year who broke his ankle and leg simultaneously just turning.
