Gally could you please explain why I was banned for 2 weeks

I'm back after my ban, I appreciate it's your site to do with what you want, but could you please explain what it was that I wrote in the post that was so abusive that I should be banned for two weeks by you. I've seen the particular phrases I used many times by others and not noticed any consequences for them. Could it be that all the cosy get togethers the club are having with opinion formers are having the desired affect for the club and stifling criticism of the owner his running of the club and his minnions. If you could assist me please so I don't offend you again.

 

Why don't you send him a pm?

Or tell us all what you said?

I don't believe you were banned just for that. If you were then I think you do need answers.

 

If you look on my profile it's a reply I gave to a thread entitled Cryne Fans please read it and tell me what if anything else I said that could be considered abusive. I was banned for being abusive to club staff and or management / owner

Not exactly what I'd have written myself, even if I agree with some of the sentiment, but imho it's not worthy of a ban (or even a ticking off). But it's not my forum and not my values. I've seen worse.

That's something Gally would have to answer.

I like Gally and appreciate everything he does for this forum, but I don't agree with him on the stance he took here. However, I would imagine we all try his patience from time to time and maybe you were just unlucky to catch him in a bad mood. I'm sure he'll answer you when he sees your post.

 

You did resort to insults. I'm guessing had you left them out you'd be fine.

I've seen worse much worse go unpunished. It's strange though criticise Cryne on here get banned criticise him on Twitter get followed on twitter by a very close family friend of the Crynes get the feeling the owners hyper sensitive to criticism

 

That is not even close to being ban worthy. There is significantly worse posted on here regularly.

 

Well it displeased someone enough for me to be banned for 2 weeks and it was a first offence without any warnings been given

 

The ONLY part of that that can be considered 'bad' is the word ********. The rest is merely a VERY valid opinion on thr progress or lack of it under patrick crynes stewardship. The 'st pat' part is not an insult either, its an ironic name that actually mocks the fans rather than the owner.

Now should ******** ben be worthy of a ban? Considering ben has used the term himself id say its questionable. As ive seen it unpunished dozens of times id sayits extremely harsh when others are allowed to use it

 

Must have been a mistake. Can't see anything there that warrants a ban.

Nothing in your post warranted a ban SR and its pathetic you have been punished from the Site Admin.

if people are going to be banned for such stuff then pack up the site and pull the plug now.

Have you actually been notified of a ban...

Reason I ask is that at some point a few years ago. I have received a your banned message and it turns it it was directly related to an ip address being previously banned (I assume) and a quick restart of my router gave me a different ip address and I was then ok.

Not sure how it works now but ip addresses can be banned and not the user account.
