Not for everyone. I'd still get a season ticket to save having to get tickets for each game and to reserve my seat with the people I sit with.

Very good reasoning. However the club may fear losing actual season ticket sales as more may then decide to not get one. (Just being argumentative)

I have nothing to back that up but it's a risk. And if we then have a mediocre start, not only have we lost a ST but then a reduced POTD payer as well

But I am behind supertyke and his comment

Where does what we get all go...

I suspect there's only one place all the money goes. Into the players' bank accounts.

    Yeah get that.

But for the last couple of years we have had to reduce significantly the wage bill and get rid of the high earners. We have replaced them with loans and lower league players.

    A smaller squad etc

I can't believe at this point we are still struggling.

Or we have suddenly started paying over the odds wage wise for the younger and lower league lads.

It just doesn't seem to add up

i think a better idea would be for the team / manager to buck their fooking ideas up and produce footy actually worth watching....then the 'custodians' that 'run' the club can charge what they want cos if it is good, people will turn up.

On the other hand, if it continues to be carp every week, they'd be lucky to give the tickets away.

There's already a significant difference between a Ponty End season ticket and an East Stand Season ticket, so there's no reason there can't be for pay-on-the-gate supporters. We can still advertise a football game for £20, but if you want the plusher seats, you pay a bit more. House the away supporters in the West Stand if we don't want to charge them £20.

My season ticket goes up from £300 to £320. I get games for £13.90, pay-on-the-gate pay £20. A saving for me of £6.10 per game, £140 per season.
That was the early bird offer. Summer prices were £335. Up to £355, £15.40 per game, a saving of £4.60 per game, £105 per season.

    East and West Upper
Early bird: Up from £370 to £390. £16.95 per game
    Pay on the gate £24.
Season ticket saving £7.05 per game, £162 per season. (even better value than The Ponty End).

Summer Price: Up from £410 to £430. £18.70 per game.
Season ticket saving £5.30 per game, £122 per season.

    East and West Lower
Early bird: Up from £315 to £335. £14.60 per game
    Pay on the gate £22
Season ticket saving £7.40 per game, £171 per season.

Summer Price: Up from £350 to £370. £16.10 per game.
Season ticket saving £5.90 per game, £136 per season.

Buy a season ticket and you'd have to miss 7 games at the early bird prices before you lost money. And it's not even about the money for a lot of people, it's about having your seat reserved and priority tickets for cup matches (in theory, if they don't **** that up).

Straight down to the nitty gritty Mr Reev!

No need for long drawn out debates over a few quid here and there.

Entertain and the rest will sort itself out!!!!!!!!!!

One of the few times that i have agreed with you.

I think the day tickets should be £20 max. The club is so ***** at the match day experience. We should be taking the extra £7 off people with food & drink, etc, but the service is woeful. I rarely spend anything at the match as there is no decent ale / pies have gone / queues emense, when employing one extra person on minimum wage would increase service times massively.

The club is run commercially like a bring & buy sale.
