We were in control from the first minute, scored a couple of excellent goals, with the defence looking solid as a rock and giving Townsend nothing to do other than collecting high crosses (which he did very well). All the team played well, but special mentions for Pearson who I thought had his best game in a Barnsley shirt and young George Smith who did likewise, thoroughly deserving of his MOTM award. Great performance, lads, a much deserved three points & a clean sheet, too. Let's all enjoy it this evening without resorting to needless point scoring, please.
all of that in spades. I was going to post on how dull it was, no entertainment value etc.I didnt want to crow though. Irony was never my strong point. YOOOOO REDDDDDDSSSS
Good day saw some old friends made some new ones. Had a drinkie or three and saw us play reasonable well.
Happy Clapper. ;-) Saw you on way out of ground with 66, but you were already in post match analysis mode.
tha knows nowt thee.. not a reyt supporter.. have I scored points yet? fantastic result, I was so totally not expecting it... while I am not a total Rugby fan , it would put a cherry on the cake for me if England stuffed the 'Sheep ******** ' tonight... I would take immense joy at letting the buggers down here know about it.
Re: tha knows nowt thee.. not a reyt supporter.. have I scored points yet? Simply proves you know nothing about football.
Agreed. I thought 2 nil at half time may not have been fully deserved. 1 maybe. But that second half I felt we toyed with them. Overall very enjoyable. Have you got that bottle of red open yet
