Compensated by who? The club? Bradford? the FA? God? I don't think anyone could have predicted the deluge that came down just before kick off. I feel for the fans who went, but I don't think they can really complain, it was the correct decision. Chalk it down to an act of nature....
correct. Cost a bit of diesel but we were issued tickets for next week, so all parties did all they could. Sods law I'm working darn sarf next week.
Bradford should compensate those who went. Despite the weather I was surprised it was called off. On club tweet saying kick off delayed by five minutes and then another saying it's off. Do they not have weather forecasts in Bradford? If they had delayed it for 20 minutes, thirty max it could have been on as not long after kick off was due it stopped raining. They could have done a good job getting as much water off the pitch as possible. I'm surprised in this day and age football clubs don't own a cover to put over the pitch like tennis tournaments use to keep the courts dry in rain delays. They don't use power or anything and the cost of one would be way less than risking a match being rearranged.
