This subject has been dropped mostly by the press who have a new focus with Putin now. I was wondering when we hear of yet another 100 making it through the tunnel, what happens to them then? Do they disappear into the country, or are they apprehended, and if so are they sent back to Calais (can't see the French wanting them back) or are they given a first class ticket back to their homeland, or do we just cave in and let them stay, give them a council house and a wad of money?
We would assess their status. They would not qualify for benefits of any kind. They would not qualify for council housing. Why the obsession did a migrant once shag your dog/grandma/you. Aren't you a migrant yourself?
Why embarrassing when it was genuine question? And no, I'm not a migrant as you are not allowed to stay here forever, I have residency status as long as my work visa is valid only. I have to leave eventually. Why so touchy on this? Very confusing TBH
once we have assessed their status ( according to the telly they have no form of identification but just say they're from a warzone and are refugees, and have crossed god knows how many "safe" countries) what do we do with them ? are they just thrown onto the street or are they accommodated and fed and clothed, if so where does the funding come from, bearing in mind there's british soldiers living on the streets, hospitals desperately short of cash, services being stretched and food banks.................. just asking like that's all.................................... not all that many heading to the "oil rich" muslim states
Why are British soldiers on the street? Are they ineligible for any funding or benefits of any kind? Or has personal choice (ill advised and mistakes) and unfortunate circumstances led to them being on the streets? I find it very hard to believe that somebody would come out of the armed forces and immediately find themselves living on the streets as the nation refuses to give them any money or housing
According to Facebook all formst soldiers are homeless and skint and suffer from ptsd and all refugees are members of isis steal our jpbs and rape our women
"are they given a first class ticket back to their homeland, or do we just cave in and let them stay, give them a council house and a wad of money"? that's a genuine question is it? that's what you genuinely think happens, yeah? you're genuinely asking if that's official border policy? genuinely?
I bet you are a barrel of laughs to be with. It was a genuine question with obvious tongue in cheek attached. But I shouldn't have to explain this, it should be obvious that some of it was tongue in cheek and flippant. It's called dry Yorkshire humour.
Stop trying to backtrack. It was a daft thing to say admit it and move on. Don't try to hide prejudice in humour you're not Roy Chubby Brown.
